First Round of Egypt-Japan Business and Investment Promotion Committee

1. The First Round of Egypt-Japan Business and Investment Promotion Committee, 第一回日エジプトビジネス投資促進委員会 (hereafter referred as “the Committee”) was held on July 28, 2021, from 2:30 pm.

2. The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Counselor Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, Chief Executive Director of GAFI and H.E. Mr. NOKE Masaki, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt.

3. The Committee was held in hybrid conference style (mixture of face-to-face and online), where the face-to-face participants gathered at the GAFI premise. More than 50 participants, including observers, participated in face-to-face or through online (attachment 1: participant list).

Prior to the Committee, Egyptian and Japanese Secretariat had coordinated and drafted the concept paper of this Committee (attachment 2) together. The Committee was proceeded according to the agenda (attachment 3), where the agenda had also been coordinated beforehand.
